On the first day, we depart on a 30 minute Mas Wings flight at 9.10am to Mulu National Park from Miri. You will also have option to depart from Kota Kinabalu. We then meet the guide and proceed to Benarat Inn to check in. After lunch we continue by van to the Mulu Park Headquarters. Take the plank walk to visit Deer Cave, one of the biggest cave passages in the world. Close to Deer Cave is Lang’s Cave, a small but beautifully decorated site. In the evening we will wait at the entrance of Deer Cave, where thousands of bats emerge in the evening to hunt for food all over the forest. We then return late in the afternoon to Park HQ and transfer to Benarat Inn for dinner and overnight.
On the second day, after breakfast we set out by longboat at 8.30am to the source of the Clearwater River. We make our first stop at Batu Bungan Penan Settlement for a short excursion of the settlement. You are able to see the handmade handicraft like baskets, bangles, mats and beads by the Penan tribe. From there we go by boat to visit Cave Of The Wind with unusual calcite formations, including the tall, slender stalagmites in King’s Room. Just a few hundred metres upriver lay Clearwater Cave where you have to climb 200 steps to the cave’s main entrance and visit the Lady’s Cave and the underground river. The pool at Clearwater Spring is a nice place to swim and picnic. After lunch we leave by boat to Mulu airport to take our flight out of Mulu National Park.
It is advisable for you to bring along your raincoat, mosquito repellent, torchlight and good trekking shoes for the Show Caves. Also bring along your swimming suit if you wish to swim at the Clearwater Spring.

There is an optional excursion which is the Canopy Skywalk for about RM65 per person. The Canopy Skywalk is the longest tree-based walkway in the world. As you walk among the ferns and vine 15-25 metres above the forest floor and river you will enjoy this unique opportunity to get closer to the rainforest ‘Web of life’. The walk is about 2 hours.
